Severe Car Accident on I-80 East of Grand Island

GRAND ISLAND - According to an online news story published on newschannelnebraska.com, a section of Interstate 80 was shut down in Grand Island following a severe motor vehicle accident.*

The car wreck occurred by the Alda Exit on I-80. The motor vehicle crash transpired at approximately 3:00 AM this morning.  

The Department of Transportation reported that Interstate 80 was closed down between Exit 305 and Exit 312. The accident closed the seven-mile stretch of I-80 for several hours as emergency crews managed the accident and tended to the injury victims. 

There were no additional details on the accident that have been released at this time. The motor vehicle accident is currently under investigation by law enforcement officials. No additional information about the crash has been released to the public at this time.
