The victim, who was a Canton, Georgia, resident, was attending a Murray County Saddle Club rodeo event. At some point, a horse collided with a gate, and the gate struck the victim, the Murry County Fire Department reported. She was rushed to a Chattanooga-area hospital, where the victim tragically passed away.
The victim was air evacuated to Erlanger Hospital, and the emergency room physicians told the family to prepare for the worst due to the victim's severe, life-threatening injuries.
Funeral services for Chadwick are being held Wednesday in Canton.
Friends of the victim's family created a GoFundMe account to help pay for her funeral expenses. The link is posted in the Yahoo.com article URL posted below. So far, the community has raised thousands of dollars, and some of the donations will be used to set up a scholarship in Breanna's name.
