Pregnant Woman Killed in a Pedestrian Collision With a Car in Gwinnett County, Georgia

GWINNETT COUNTY, GEORGIA - According to an accident news story published on fox5atlanta.com, a pregnant woman was tragically struck and killed in a pedestrian impact with a car in Gwinnett County, Georgia.*

The report states that the woman was attempting to cross a street with her son by her side, according to police. The victim's GoFundMe campaign states that she was six months pregnant at the time of the fatal collision. She is was an Afghanistan refugee. 

The accident story reports that the pedestrian died while attempting to find transportation from Snellville to Clarkston. Her unborn baby also tragically died in the collision, according to the GoFundMe's description. Fortunately, the woman's son, who was also crossing the road at the time of the crash did not sustain any harm, stated law enforcement officers.  

According to police, she was exiting her Uber's vehicle with her child along Hewatt Road and she began to cross the street. Police are investigating the collision to assertain if speed was a cause in the collision. Investigators do not believe that alcohol was involved in the incident.
