Morrow Police Pursuit Turns Into a Severe Car Accident
MORROW, GEORGIA - A news report published on fox5atlanta.com states that a police pursuit in Morrow, Georgia, tragically ended in a severe motor vehicle collision.*
The suspect was trying to evade police after stealing a car. The Morrow Police Department reported that at approximately 9 PM last Saturday, police officers attempted to stop the driver of an allegedly stolen car on Morrow Road by Bob White Circle.
The driver of a Dodge Journey failed to stop for police and attempted to outrun the police, law enforcement officials stated. He then crashed the car while attempting to pass another vehicle on the wrong side of the road. The suspect then crashed head-on with a Hyundai Elantra.
Morrow Police Chief David Snively reported that the two people inside the Hyundai Elantra were hospitalized for severe injuries. They are expected to survive the head-on collision. The Elantra's driver was rushed to Atlanta Medical Center. The Georgia State Patrol is currently investigating the accident. Morrow Police arrested three people who were in the stolen vehicle. They are facing several felony criminal charges.
