Van Crashes Into a Southwest Atlanta Business Located on Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue

ATLANTA - An accident news story published on fox5atlanta.com reports that a van crashed through the patio wall of a southwest Atlanta business.*

Local residents who work and live nearby stated that they feel the road has been a danger ever since it was redesigned. The severe crash was caught on a security camera surveillance camera and showed the van crashing through the brick walls of a southwest Atlanta business. The security camera surveillance camera video shows that the crash happened at around 7:30 in the morning. The video also shows a silver van driving a parking lot off of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue and into a business. 

According to a local business owner, traffic accidents have been on the rise, and he is frustrated. The business owner believes that if school children were heading to school at the time of the crash, they would have been on the sidewalk walking and harmed. 

The report states that the driver attempted to drive around a car, and they lost control of their vehicle and crashed into several buildings. Surveillance camera video showed that the van then backed away. 

According to other residents interviewed in the article, the accidents seem to be getting more extreme. They also believe the problem began when city officials re-paved the avenue. The residents also reported that stripping was removed from one side of the road and not the other, which could make the road somewhat confusing to drivers. Local area residents hope the crash is a "wake-up call" to other drivers and city officials.
