Two Men Seriously Injury in a Rabun County Truck Accident

GEORGIA - According to several news reports, including nowhabersham.com, two men from Franklin, North Carolina, were seriously injured in a truck accident.*

The truck suddenly left the road and drove down an embankment in Sky Valley. The single-vehicle collision occurred at around 5 PM at GA 246 and Winding Ridge Road. 

According to the Georgia State Patrol, a 56-year-old man was operating a Ford LNT80 westbound along Highway 246 when the truck left the roadway and collided with a guardrail. The vehicle, which was carrying a small roller and paver at the time of the crash, then went down an embankment and then overturned.

The accident seriously injured a 25-year-old passenger and another occupant. Both men were transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, Georiga, for emergency medical treatment.

Corporal Larry Ray with the Georgia State Patrol Post 7 in Toccoa reported that there could be criminal charges pending against the driver. The fatal motor vehicle accident is currently under investigation by the Georgia State Patrol Post 7 in Toccoa. No additional accident information has been released at this time.
