Adairsville Woman Tragically Passes Away in a Two-Car Accident
GEORGIA - An accident news article on wrganews.com states that the Georgia State Patrol's Cartersville post was asked to investigate a severe two-car accident on GA Highway 140 inside the city limits of Adairsville, Georgia.
The preliminary accident investigation resolved that a Toyota Sienna van that was heading southbound on Highway 41 tried to turn left onto GA Highway 140. At that moment, a moped was heading north on 41 at its intersection with GA Highway 140.
According to the report, the Toyota Sienna van failed to yield as it was turning left and was hit in the front right fender by the moped. The moped's driver was identified as a 61-year-old age woman from Adairsville. She sustained fatal injuries. The Georgia State Patrol's Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team is currently assisting in the accident investigation.
The Bartow County Jail reports that a 61-year-old man from Calhoun was arrested at around 9:05 PM, and he was charged with failure to yield while turning left and homicide-by-vehicle second-degree. The driver's name was not posted in the accident media release from the Georgia State Patrol. The crash is currently under investigation.
