Georgia State Patrol Provides an Update on a Fatal Motor Vehicle Accident

GEORGIA - An accident news article posted on lagrangenews.com reports that the Georgia State Patrol issued its official crash report concerning a deadly accident.*

The fatal accident took the lives of two LaGrange College baseball players and a man from LaGrange. The accident report states that the driver of the 2008 GMC Sierra was the at-fault for the crash. This update contradicts the original accident report provided by the Georgia State Patrol.

According to the Georgia State Patrol crash report published last Thursday, the GMC Sierra driver improperly passed a Honda Accord, hit the Honda Accor, and caused a severe accident. The preliminary Georgia State Patrol report stated the Honda Accord had improperly passed another Honda Accord and hit the 2008 GMC Sierra. 

According to Lieutenant Mark Riley, the Director of Public Information for the Georgia State Patrol, the investigation by the Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team (SCRT) discovered new facts. Riley stated that the Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team investigation is ongoing, and a toxicology report is not available at this time.
