Georgia Man Was Tragically Killed in a Car Accident in Oconee County, South Carolina

OCONEE COUNTY, SOUTH CAROLINA - A news report published on wspa.com, reports that one person was tragically killed in a tragic car accident in Walhalla.*

The South Carolina Highway Patrol reported that the fatal accident occurred at approximately 7:05 in the morning along South Highway 11. Troopers stated that the accident involved a pickup truck that was heading southbound when it struck the left side of another pickup truck that was entering Highway 11.

South Carolina Highway Patrol troopers stated that the driver in the first pickup truck and their two passengers were transported to a local area hospital for treatment of accident-related injuries. 

Tragically, the driver in the second pickup passed away at the scene of the fatal accident. He succumbed to his life-threatening injuries. The victim was a resident of Georgia. The Oconee County Coroner's Office identified the victim as a 72-year-old man from Toccoa, Georgia. The fatal truck accident is currently under investigation by law enforcement officers.
