Tragic, Fatal DUI Car Accident in Pasco County, Georgia

PASCO COUNTY, FLORIDA - According to an online accident news article posted on patch.com, a fatal car accident caused by an alleged drunk driver occurred over the weekend.*

The Florida Highway Patrol stated that the Georgia man, a 27-year-old man from Martinez, Georgia, is accused of striking and killing a 31-year-old pedestrian. The victim was from Land O'Lakes, according to Florida Highway Patrol troopers.

Florida Highway Patrol troopers reported that the alleged drunk driver was operating a GMC Sierra northbound along CR-54. As the truck approached Hyde Park Boulevard, he collided with a pedestrian who was walking along the northbound lane. Troopers did not release the name of the victim. 

The fatal pedestrian accident is currently under investigation by the Pasco County Sheriff's Office. The alleged drunk driver was arrested and charged with DUI and may face additional criminal charges. He was booked into the Pasco County Jail.
