Fourth Henry County Teenager Tragically Passes Away After Car Accident in McDonough, Georgia

McDONOUGH, GEORGIA - According to an article published on henryherald.com, a fourth Eagle's Landing High School student has tragically passed away following the single-vehicle crash that also claimed the lives of three other teenagers on May 11th.*

The 16-year-old boy tragically passed away last Friday, two days after two other passengers in the accident passed. A fifth teenager is currently at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. He sustained severe car accident injuries, and there is no update on his condition. 

According to Henry County police, five teenagers were riding in a Nissan Altima and were heading north on Oak Grove Road last Wednesday afternoon when the Nissan left the road and crashed into several trees. It is not clear why the Nissan drove off the road and crashed. Police stated that the fatal auto accident investigation is continuing.

Eagle's Landing High School Principal Dr. Kesha Jones stated that since the severe auto accident, the high school had received numerous messages, calls, thoughts, prayers, and kind gestures. She stated that the incident has her feeling tremendous pain, and the incredible community spirit is sustaining everyone during the grief and sorrow. 

Henry County School District officials stated that they were saddened at the loss of the high school students, and they asked the community to also keep the families of the victims in their thoughts.

The fatal accident is currently under investigation by law enforcement. No additional information has been provided at this time.
