Three People Tragically Killed in Troup County Car Accident
LAGRANGE, GEORGIA - According to an article published on wtvm.com, three men were tragically killed in a car accident in Troup County, Georgia. The news report states that two of the victims were LaGrange College baseball players.*
The fatal car wreck involved two vehicles and occurred last Saturday night. Troup County Chief Deputy Corner Amy Sheppard stated that the fatal crash occurred along Roanoke Road close to Paddle Wheel Drive in LaGrange, Georgia.
The Troup County Sheriff's Office cautioned drivers in the area as well as the public on social media about the "serious" motor vehicle accident. Law enforcement authorities directed traffic to Vernon Ferry Road as emergency rescue crews handled the accident scene.
The Troup County Coroner's Office identified the accident victims as a 19-year-old, an 18-year-old, and a 24-year-old. Two of the accident victims tragically passed away at the scene of the accident. Another victim passed away at Piedmont Columbus Regional.
The Troup County Coroner stated that the two baseball players were out celebrating their baseball team's recent victory, and they were traveling back to town when the accident transpired. The news report states that a driver attempted to pass another vehicle and was involved in a head-on collision.
