Tragic, Fatal National Guard Humvee Accident in Tunnel Hill, Georgia
TUNNEL HILL, GEORGIA - According to an online accident news report published on wdef.com, one person has been tragically killed in a motor vehicle accident in Catoosa County, Georgia.*
Another accident victim was seriously injured. The fatal accident occurred along Highway 41 by I-75 at around 8:30 in the morning. The Georgia State Patrol has charged a driver from Pennsylvania who allegedly pulled out in front of a National Guard humvee causing the crash.
The news report states that there were three motor vehicles were involved in the fatal accident. Georgia State Troopers reported that the National Guard hummer then struck a third vehicle, a Ford Fiesta.
The National Guard hummer then struck a concrete divider and collided with a Chevy S-10 that was traveling from the opposite direction. The S-10s driver was from Tunnel Hill and was tragically pronounced dead at the accident scene. A passenger riding in the Chevy S-10 is listed in critical medical condition. The Georgia State Patrol has filed criminal charges against the Ford Fiesta driver. He faces charges of 2nd-degree homicide by vehicle, operation of an unsafe vehicle, and failure to yield right of way.
