Fatal Pedestrian Collision on Martin Luther King Boulevard in Savannah, Georgia
SAVANNAH, GEORGIA - According to an online accident news article posted on wtoc.com,Georgia State Patrol reported on a tragic, fatal pedestrian collision.
The deadly pedestrian v. car crash occurred along Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard last Tuesday night. The pedestrian collision happened at approximately 9:40 PM. The report states that the victim was walking in a crosswalk at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Hall Street when an SUV struck them.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, a Ford Expedition was heading northbound when it collided with a pedestrian in the left traffic lane. All southbound and northbound traffic lanes along Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard were shut down for around three hours as law enforcement investigators performed their investigation. Georgia State Patrol confirmed that the pedestrian tragically passed away.
The victim was identified as a 57-year-old man. Our report does not release the names of people involved in accidents.
