Pregnant Eastman Woman Tragically Dies in Dodge County Accident

DODGE COUNTY, GEORGIA -  According to an automobile accident news report published on wgxa.tv, troopers with the Georgia State Patrol have confirmed reports that a 31-year-old pregnant woman was tragically killed in a car accident.*

Georgia State Patrol troopers were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident that occurred at approximately 8 AM last Monday.  The crash transpired on Georgia Highway 87, close to Edna Moore Road.

Georgia State Patrol troopers reported that the driver of a Chevrolet Tahoe was heading southbound along Georgia Highway 87 and suddenly lost control over an SUV. The driver veered off the highway, and then flipped over.  The SUV was being operated by a 31-year-old Eastman woman.  The pregnant woman tragically sustained fatal injuries.  The Georgia State Patrol reported that the young child who was riding in the Tahoe during the accident was hospitalized for severe accident-related injuries.

This fatal motor vehicle accident is currently under investigation by the Georgia State Patrol.  No additional details concerning the cause of the crash and those involved have been released at this time.
