Tragic, Fatal Motorcycle Accident on Franklinton Road in Macon, Georgia

MACON, GEORGIA - According to an accident news story published on 41nbc.com, the Bibb County Sheriff's Office is currently investigating a fatal motorcycle accident.*

The motorcycle accident caused the tragic death of a motorcyclist. The victim, a Macon man, passed away last Sunday afternoon.

According to a media release published by the Bibb County Sheriff's Office,  a 32-year-old man from Macon was allegedly driving at a high rate of speed along Jeffersonville Road. At some point, another motorist, a 71-year-old Twiggs County man driving a Chevrolet  Silverado, pulled in front of the motorcyclist as he made a left turn onto Franklinton Road. The motorcyclist crashed into the rear passenger side of the pickup truck.

The motorcyclist was transported to Atrium Health Medical Center, where the accident victim was tragically pronounced dead by hospital staff. The report states that there were no other accident-related injuries. No criminal charges were reported at this time. Any witnesses are asked to contact the Bibb Sheriff's Office.
