Driver Hurt in Rollover Accident with Dump Truck on GA 365
HABERSHAM, GEORGIA - According to an accident news report posted on nowhabersham.com, a severe motor vehicle accident involving a dump truck occurred on GA 365 North in Alto.*
The crash that happened last Monday forced a motor vehicle to flip over. The rollover crash injured the driver, according to the Georgia State Patrol. The Georgia State Patrol stated that the severe crash occurred at around 8:30 Monday morning, and at the intersection of GA 365 and Wilbanks Road.
According to Georgia State Patrol troopers, the Mack dump truck driver was attempting to make a left turn when he turned back into the car's travel lane. At that moment, a northbound Ford Escape hit the right side of the Mack dump truck with its front quarter panel. After the collision, the Ford Escape moved into the median and overturned.
The Habersham EMS took the driver, a woman from Crossville, Alabama, to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainsville, Georiga, for medical treatment of accident-related injuries. The Georgia State Patrol troopers also identified the dump truck driver as a 38-year-old Lula man. He has been charged with making an improper turn.
The motor vehicle occurred about three miles from another accident involving five people who were injured in a two-vehicle accident on GA 365 in Alto last Saturday. Both motor vehicle accidents are currently under investigation by law enforcement.
