Tragic Fatal 18-Wheeler Truck Accident at the Intersection of Fairmont Road and GA-15 in Hancock County
GEORGIA - According to a news report published on macon.com, two sisters were tragically killed in an 18-wheeler truck accident. Georgia law enforcement officials report that the two teen sisters were the sweetest girls.
The fatal truck accident occurred on a Georgia highway last Sunday.
In a media release, the Georgia State Patrol stated that the twin teenagers were from Sparta. They were riding in a black Lexus when the car's driver drove through a stop sign and then entered the path of the truck. The tractor-trailer truck struck the front passenger side of the Lexus.
Law enforcement reported that Lexus' driver, who law enforcement authorities didn't identify, was transported to a local area hospital by helicopter. He had sustained life-threatening injuries.
Georgia State Patrol arrived at the accident scene at around 8:30 in the evening. The truck accident scene was at the intersection of Fairmont Road and GA-15 in Hancock County, about 100 miles south of Atlanta. The Georgia State troopers didn't share any other information about the tractor-trailer truck driver's condition. The trucking accident remains under investigation by law enforcement.
