18-Wheeler Tractor-Trailer Truck Accident on I-285 Northbound in DeKalb County, Georgia

DEKALB COUNTY, GEORGIA - According to a truck accident news report published on fox5atlanta.com, an 18-Wheeler tractor-trailer truck accident caused a shut down of all northbound traffic lanes along Interstate-285.*

The exact location of the crash was I-285 near the Interstate 20 Exit 45 entrance in DeKalb County, Georgia.  The Georgia Department of Transportation reported the semi-truck accident at approximately 1:15 PM last Thursday.

Law enforcement officials stated that there was no specific time that the truck accident would be cleared.  Department of Transportation (DOT) cameras revealed a tractor-trailer truck was handled by police and fire rescue crews.  Law enforcement authorities did not state what caused the crash or if people were harmed in the severe accident. 

Motorists were urged to take alternative routes around the crash site.  Drivers were also advised to expect significant delays as emergency crews worked the accident scene.  No additional information was provided about the cause of the accident or if criminal charges would be filed in the accident.  The crash is currently under investigation by local law enforcement officers.
