Multi-Vehicle Accident on GA 365 in Alto, Georgia
ALTO, GEORGIA - According to an online accident news report published on nowhabersham.com, a truck crashed into another truck on GA 365 by the Duncan Bridge Road and GA 365 intersection.*
The report states that at least one individual was injured in the crash. Georgia State Patrol reports that their troopers cited a 70-year-old man from Dahlonega with "Failure to Yield." The other driver, a 21-year-old woman from Homer, was cited with "Making an Improper Lane Change."
The Georgia State Patrol reports that the driver in a Black Dodge Ram pickup truck was heading southbound on GA 365. The driver attempted to make a left turn onto LC Turner Road when the front of the Dodge Ram pickup truck hit the driver's side of a Ford Ranger driven by a 66-year-old from Toccoa. The crash caused the Ford to spin counterclockwise and move off of the highway's right shoulder. The Ford then traversed back onto the highway and stopped in a northbound lane. The crash set off a chain-reaction accident.
According to Georgia State Patrol, a white Dodge Ram pickup truck attempted to change traffic lanes to avoid the earlier accident. However, the pickup truck hit the side of a Toyota 4 Runner. The Toyota 4 Runner then hit a Buick Verano. The Buick Verano then hit a blue Dodge Ram operated by a 46-year-old Baldwin man.
One of the accident victims was entrapped in their truck before the Baldwin Fire-Rescue could free them. The victim was taken to the Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville. He sustained non-life-threatening accident-related injuries. The accident transpired at approximately 4 PM south of the Duncan Bridge intersection. The crash is currently under investigation.
