Two Women Tragically Killed, Two Seriously Injury in a Forsyth County Head-on Collision
FORSYTH COUNTY, GEORGIA - According to an online news article published on the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's website, two women were tragically killed last Tuesday in a head-on collision in Forsyth County, Georiga.*
Investigating law enforcement officers reported that two other people involved in the motor vehicle accident were seriously injured. The fatal car accident occurred at around 8:25 AM.
The fatal crash occurred at the intersection of Bannister Road and Mockingbird Road. According to the Forsyth Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Stacie Miller, the crash occurred after a Honda Accord, operated by a 36-year-old Dawsonville woman, crossed the dividing line and into oncoming traffic. The Honda then collided head-on with a Hyundai Elantra.
A 38-year-old Dawsonville woman in the Hyundai was brought to a local area hospital, where she tragically passed away.
A teenage passenger riding in the Honda and the Hyundai driver were transported to local hospitals with non-life-threatening accident-related injuries. The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office is attempting to find out why the Honda crossed the divider and into oncoming traffic. No additional information has been provided at this time.
