Several People Injured in a Multi-Vehicle Crash on the Liberty Expressway in Albany, Georgia

The accident report states that several people were harmed in the multi-vehicle accident that transpired on the Liberty Expressway late Thursday afternoon. The Albany Police Department reported that a red Honda Accord was heading westbound and traveled across the median and into the path of another motor vehicle. That vehicle, a white Chevrolet Colorado, was driving eastbound, according to the Albany Police Department.
The Albany Police Department reported that the driver of the Honda overcorrected, causing the Chevy Colorado to crash into the Honda's driver-side door. A third vehicle, a Ford Expedition traveling behind the second vehicle, rear-ended the vehicle, causing both motor vehicles to stop at the bottom of an embankment. A fourth vehicle, a teal Chevrolet Silverado, then crashed into the Honda.
The driver and their occupants, three children, in one of the motor vehicles sustained severe injuries, and they were transported to the hospital. Another driver also sustained severe injuries and was transported to a local area hospital. The accident is still under investigation by law enforcement.
