Tragic, Fatal Car Accident on I-285 in Cobb County, Georgia
COBB COUNTY, GEORGIA - An accident news report published on 11alive.com states that one person was tragically killed in an accident on I-75 in Cobb County, Georgia.*
The crash occurred early Wednesday morning. Law enforcement officers stated that the motor vehicle accident happened at around 2:15 in the morning on the I-285 eastbound ramp that leads to I-75 southbound. The I-285 eastbound ramp to I-75 southbound was shut down.
The news report stated that an SUV was traveling onto I-75 when it departed the interstate and drove into a grassy area between the exit ramp and the eastbound traffic lanes. The vehicle then crashed into several trees. Cobb County Police states that an accident victim was trapped in the motor vehicle, and the victim was tragically pronounced dead at the accident scene. However, law enforcement has not released the name of the victim.
The accident is currently under investigation, and anyone who has information is urged to contact the Cobb County Police.
