Tragic, Fatal Pedestrian Collision on Lawrenceville Highway in DeKalb County, Georgia

DEKALB COUNTY, GEORGIA - A news article published on fox5atlanta.com reports that a man was struck and killed as he attempted to cross Lawrenceville Highway, police reported.*

The DeKalb County Police are currently investigating the deadly pedestrian collision that happened last Monday morning.  

Law enforcement officials told reporters that the fatal accident occurred just before one in the morning.  The DeKalb County Police stated that the victim, a man who was in his late 50s, was hit while trying to cross Lawrenceville Highway.  The car that struck the victim was heading westbound on Lawrenceville Highway.

The fatal pedestrian crash is currently under investigation and did not report whether or not criminal charges would be filed against the driver.  No additional details about the incident have been disclosed at this time.  This is a developing story.
