Car Accident on Highway 84 in Midway, Georgia, Injures Two
MIDWAY, GEORGIA - An accident news article published on fox28media.com reports that a Georgia State Trooper was injured in a motor vehicles accident in Midway, Georgia.*
According to Georgia State Patrol Corporal Keith Kerrick, another motorist and the Georgia State Patrol Trooper were injured when their vehicles collided on Highway 84.
Corporal Kerrick stated that the Georgia State Patrol trooper was heading on Highway 84 when a passenger vehicle driver tried to turn left while the Georgia State Patrol trooper approached Live Oak subdivision by Butler road at around 5 PM. The crash caused the car to roll over several times, Corporal Kerrick reported.
The Georgia State Patrol trooper received treatment for accident-related injuries. The passenger vehicle's driver, a woman who has not been identified, was transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia.
Georgia State Patrol troopers stated that there was a police pursuit taking place close to the accident. However, troopers did not report whether or not the trooper involved in the accident was participating in the police pursuit. According to the Georgia State Patrol, the trooper involved in the accident was driving from Hardeeville. The crash is currently under investigation.
