Seven People Injured in a Multi-Vehicle Accident on I-20 and I-285 in Atlanta, Georgia
ATLANTA, GEORGIA - A motor vehicle accident news report published on CBS46.com states that a multi-vehicle accident that occurred last Friday along Interstate 285 northbound and Interstate 20 westbound is currently under investigation.*
Georgia State Patrol troopers answered the emergency accident call on Interstate 20 West at around 3 PM. The troopers discovered two separate accidents involving several motor vehicles. The wrecked vehicles blocked all traffic lanes along Interstate 20 West in the area.
According to Georgia State Patrol troopers, the first accident involved a Honda Civic that was heading west along I-20 when it rear-ended a Toyota RAV4.
The second accident involved a Chevrolet Malibu that rear-ended a Range Rover, causing the Range Rover to collide with a GMC 2500 pickup truck.
The Honda CRV collided with the rear of the Chevrolet Malibu, and the Honda CRV left the interstate and crashed into the concrete median divider. A Dodge Ram 5500 pickup truck that was towing heavy machinery then collided into the rear of the Honda CRV. Following the Dodge Ram 5500 pickup truck crash, the Honda CRV rear-ended the GMC pickup truck as it was stalled in the interstate from the earlier crash.
There were a total of seven people injured in the multi-vehicle crash. There were no life-threatening injuries reported. The multi-vehicle accidents are currently under investigation, and criminal charges are pending.
