Another witness described the incident and said everybody aboard was screaming, and the plane lost control after landing.
According to a Delta spokesperson's statement, Delta flight 1277, upon landing at Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson International Airport, Delta flight 1277 operating from Dallas/Fort Worth, had a flat tire, and the airplane came to a stop on a taxi way.
The FAA reported that their agency would investigate. FAA officials stated that airplane landing gear has several tires and commercial pilots receive a lot of training on how to respond to these situations safely.
