Fatal Car Accident on Highway 21 in Springfield, Georgia
SPRINGFIELD, GEORGIA - According to an online accident news report published on wsav.com, one person died in a vehicle crash on Highway 21 in Springfield, Georgia.*
The fatal crash occurred at around 11:30 AM, according to the Rincon Police Department. Rincon Police advised motorists of the accident and redirected traffic as they worked the crash. The crash occurred on the highway located near the Southern Motors Chrysler dealer between Highland Point Drive and Beebe Road.
The Effingham County Coroner positively identified the accident victim as a 31-year-man from Florence, South Carolina.
Effingham County Sheriff's troopers reported that the southbound traffic lanes were closed, and the traffic in the northbound traffic lanes was moving slowly. Life Star responded to the accident scene to assist victims with life-threatening injuries. Law enforcement officers asked motorists to use alternative routes around the crash.
The Effingham County Sheriff's Office confirmed that at least one person was tragically killed in the motor vehicle accident.
