Car Accident on Elsharah Church Road at Sam Floyd Road in Cochran, Georgia

COCHRAN, GEORGIA - According to an online accident news report published on, a woman was tragically killed in a motor vehicle accident in Cochran, Georiga.*  

The Georgia State Patrol accident report states that the fatal crash happened around 5:30 PM last Saturday at the intersection of Sam Floyd Road and Elsharah Church Road.  

The report states that a 39-year-old man was driving his Buick Lucerne eastbound on Elsharah Church.  At some point, he attempted to make a left turn, lost control over his vehicle, and drove off the road.  The vehicle then went airborne, fell over a culvert, and then struck a tree on the vehicle's rear passenger side.

The passengers, a 51-year-old woman and a 47-year-old, sustained severe injuries.  One of the accident victims was air-evacuated from the crash scene.  They were taken to the Medical Center, Atrium Health Navicent.  The other accident victims were transported by ambulance.  She tragically passed away at the hospital due to the injuries she sustained in the crash.  The fatal car accident is under investigation, and no further information was provided at this time.
