Tragic, Fatal Car Accident in Fannin County, Georgia

FANNIN COUNTY, GEORGIA - According to an online accident news report published on fox5atlanta.com, a Fannin County Sheriff's Office Corporal and his wife were tragically killed in a motor vehicle accident.*  

The Fannin County Sheriff's Office confirmed the tragic deaths on its Facebook page. 

The Fannin County Sheriff issued his condolences and reported the tragic incident. According to the Fannin County Sheriff's office, the deputy sheriff who lost his life in an accident was hired as a detention officer back in 2013. In 2015, the deputy sheriff became a certified officer and was then promoted to the rank of corporal back in January.

Governor Brian Kemp extended his condolences to the family on Twitter. He called the incident an "unimaginable loss." He also stated that the tragic deaths deeply saddened him, his wife, and his children. He then asked fellow Georgians to join them in praying for the couple's 12- & 3-year-old girls.

The fatal accident in Fannin County, Georgia, is currently under investigation. No other details about the accident have been made public at this time.
