Woman Tragically Killed in a Severe Car Accident Along I-16 in Savannah, Georgia

Georgia State Patrol reported that the woman, a 22-year-old woman, tragically passed away in a motor vehicle accident.
Law enforcement officials stated that the victim was operating a motor vehicle and was heading westbound along I-16 East when her motor vehicle collided with a tractor-trailer trailer truck by exit 162. Officials reported that a third vehicle heading eastbound crashed into the first vehicle and then collided with the semi-tractor-trailer truck. Police closed down portions of I-16 for many hours due to the accident.
The investigating officials reported that the victim's passenger sustained severe injuries. No other accident-related injuries were reported, and Georgia State Patrol is currently investigating the accident. No further accident information has been released publicly at this time.
