Fatal Truck Accident in Laurens County, Georgia

December 06, 2021

DUBLIN, Georgia - A news report published on 41nbc.com states that Georgia State Patrol posted an unfinished accident report that details their preliminary accident investigation findings concerning a truck accident in Dublin, Georiga.*

The accident report stated that a three truck accident occurred on Interstate 16 and the accident was fatal.

According to the Georgia State Patrol Post 20 Dublin accident release, the crash occurred at around 12:12 PM.  Accident investigators think that traffic on the interstate was slowing down and traffic was redirected into the left lane because of road construction in the right traffic lane.

The report states that a tractor-trailer truck driver failed to see that traffic had slowed down and the trucker struck a different tractor-trailer truck.  The truck then swerved left and then hit a second tractor-trailer truck from behind.  The tractor-trailer truck then caught on fire and the driver was tragically killed.

The truck accident investigation is ongoing.  There were no other reports detailing the condition of the other people involved in the accident.  The crash is still under investigation at this time.
