Severe Car Accident on Philema Road in Lee County, Georgia

LEESBURG, GEORGIA - A news story published on walb.com reports that at least one person was tragically injured in a multi-vehicle accident on Philema Road in Lee County, Georgia.*  

The victim was transported to a local area hospital for medical treatment of accident-related injuries.

According to Lee County Sheriff's Office Chief Deputy Lewis Harris, the accident did involve injuries, and at least one motorist has been taken to the hospital.  Chief Deputy Harris also confirmed that the Georgia State Patrol worked the accident scene.

The Georgia State Patrol reported that three motor vehicles were involved in the crash, and they confirmed three people were injured in the crash.  The details of the accident and those injured have not been released.  There were no reports of criminal charges at this time.
