Teenagers Tragically Killed in Separate Motor Vehicle Accident in Moultrie, Georgia

MOULTRIE, GEORGIA - A news story published on reported that two separate accidents caused the tragic deaths of a 19-year-old and a 13-year-old.*

The fatal accidents were both single-vehicle crashes.  The victims were identified by the Colquitt County Coroner.

According to the report, one victim was operating an ATV along Kilgore Road when he was tragically ejected from the ATV, and then his ATV rolled on top of him.  According to the Department of Public Safety Public Information Office, the victim was heading westbound on Kilgore Road when he tried to negotiate a curve.  The ATV driver lost control and traveled off the road.  The amount of time the victim was trapped under the ATV was not reported.  The victim did not have any safety equipment on when he sustained the fatal injuries.

On Friday, a nineteen-year-old motorcyclist was tragically killed in a separate motorcycle accident when his motorcycle hit a deer along Highway 319.  The victim hit the deer on the front side of his motorcycle.  This caused the motorcycle to "overturned several times." The bike came to rest in a traffic lane.  The victim was wearing his helmet.  The fatal motorcycle accident is under investigation. 

The coroner called the accident "an unavoidable kind of thing.".
