Fatal Car Accident on North Cleveland Avenue in Lee County, Florida

According to a report posted on news-press.com, the Florida Highway Patrol assisted the Lee County Sheriff's Office with a serious motor vehicle accident that occurred last Sunday on North Cleveland Avenue at Pine Island Road.*  The accident happened at around 3:30 in the morning.  

The motor vehicle collision shut down the southbound traffic lanes of North Cleveland for many hours.  The report states that the road was eventually cleared for through traffic by 6:30 in the morning.

According to crash data from the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, the fatal car accident victim was the 98th traffic death in Lee County in 2021.  The accident is currently under investigation. No further details were provided at this time.
