Tragic, Fatal Two-vehicle Accident on Martin Luther King Boulevard in Tampa, Florida
TAMPA, FLORIDA - A news report posted on tampabay.com states that a two-vehicle accident on Martin Luther King Boulevard tragically killed two people in Tampa, Florida.*
The fatal accident occurred in the eastbound lanes of Martin Luther King Boulevard by Riga Road. According to Florida Highway Patrol troopers, the accident happened before five o´clock in the morning.
The report states that a 55-year-old man from Riverview tried to make a left turn across Martin Luther King Boulevard when the man's vehicle turned in front of a pickup truck that was heading eastbound. Accident scene photos show the motor vehicles crashed almost head-on.
The driver from Riverview was taken to a local area hospital where he tragically passed away from his accident injuries. The pickup driver, a 54-year-old woman from Tampa, sustained serious injuries. Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts. The accident is currently under investigation.
