Two Tragically Killed, Two Injured in Northwest Atlanta, Georgia

November 10, 2021

ATLANTA - A news article published on reports that a Georgia State Patrol car chase ended with a fatal accident that tragically took two lives and injured two others in northwest Atlanta.*  Law enforcement officials reported that the accident occurred around 1:30 in the morning.

The pursuit started when a Georgia State Patrol trooper observed a silver Toyota Camry driving recklessly and reaching speeds of over 100 MPH on Interstate 20.  Law enforcement officers reported that the four people in the car were allegedly found in possession of weapons and illegal narcotics.

The Georgia State Patrol trooper tried to stop the motor vehicle, but the car fled, leading to a police chase that started on Interstate 75 and continued on several Atlanta streets.  According to accident investigators, the Georgia State Patrol trooper lost sight of the Toyota, just prior to the crash, and found it shortly later crashed on Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard.

Family members stated that all of the victims were teenagers and one of the victims is a pregnant 19-year-old woman.
