Intentional Boat Crash in Pensacola, Florida, Causes Severe Injuries
According to wired2fish.com, a 52-year-old man has been arrested and allegedly criminally charged following a boat collision with severe injuries. The report states that the man intentionally rammed his boat into another boat.*
The boat operator has been allegedly charged with reckless operation of a vessel, aggravated battery, criminal mischief and failure to report an incident.
According to the report, the boat operators involved in the boat collision were Alabama residents, although the collision transpired in Pensacola, Florida. According to law enforcement authorities, one boat was a Key West, and the other was a Nautic Star.
The at-fault boat operator and his passengers purportedly became enraged when the other boat created waves that made the at-fault boat rock back and forth. The at-fault boat operator sped up to the passing boat and purposefully crashed into it.
Two individuals inside the suspect's boat were thrown from the boat. According to the report, the suspect suffered a collapsed lung and several broken ribs. Most of the other boating crash victims suffered minor injuries. The accident is currently under investigation.
