Two Tragically Killed in an I-20 Westbound Accident in Thomson, Georgia
THOMSON, GEORGIA - A news report published on wrdw.com reported that two people were tragically killed in a severe motor vehicle accident.*
The fatal accident occurred on westbound Interstate 20 a few miles East of the town of Thomson. A few hours after the serious accident, traffic was backed up into Aiken County, South Carolina.
A witness to the accident stated that a passenger vehicle collided with a tractor-trailer at Mile Marker 178 in Columbia County, Georgia. The truck accident was called in at around 3:07 in the afternoon. According to Georgia Department of Transportation, westbound traffic was jammed up from White Oak Road to Greenbrier Creek.
The Columbia County Coroner’s Office reported that two people were tragically killed in the truck accident, but the agency did not provide any additional information.
