Three Habersham County Emergency Workers Injured in an Accident on I-85
GEORGIA - A news article published on nowhabersham.com reports that three Habersham County Emergency Services crew members are currently recovering from injuries they sustained when they were involved in an accident in their ambulance.*
The accident occurred on Interstate 85 in Gwinnett County, Georgia.
The three EMT were treated and then released from a local area hospital after the early afternoon crash. According to the accident report, they were taking a patient to Emory University Hospital in Atlanta when the accident transpired. The collision did not injure the patient on board the ambulance.
The Georgia State Patrol reported that the ambulance was heading in the far left traffic lane with the vehicle's emergency lights and siren activated. At some point, the ambulance rear-ended a Cadillac Escalade. The collision then set off a chain reaction with two other vehicles.
