The Florida Highway Patrol is Investigating a Fatal Accident in Pine Lakes, Florida

October 24, 2021

PINE LAKES, FLORIDA - A news report published on dailycommercial.com reports that Florida Highway Patrol troopers are currently investigating a fatal motor vehicle accident.*  The fatal crash tragically killed a 39-year-old woman from DeLand.

Florida Highway Patrol Troopers stated that the accident happened when an SUV operated by a 77-year-old woman from Paisley rear-ended DeLand woman's car that was stopped along State Road 44 and waiting to turn left onto Misty Lane.  The impact sent the car into the path of a westbound pickup driven by a 19-year-old woman from Eustis. The pickup truck hit the right side of the car. The DeLand woman tragically passed away at the scene.

The other women sustained accident-related injuries. The Florida Highway Patrol no longer releases the names of accident victims.
