Tragic, Fatal Rabun County Two-Vehicle Accident

According to a news report published on nowhabersham.com, three days following a two-car accident in Rabun County that tragically killed an 8-year-old boy, his mother also passed away.*

The woman sustained life-threatening injuries in the accident and was in the Intensive Care Unit at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville. 

The victim, a 41-year-old woman from Clayton, tragically died last Saturday from her traumatic injuries. 

The fatal motor vehicle accident occurred last Wednesday on U.S. Highway 76 at Charlie Mountain Road.  The Georgia State Patrol stated that the victim was driving her Ford Taurus westbound on Highway 76 when she lost control of her car and moved into the path of a Ford F150 pickup truck.  The pickup truck struck her right rear passenger side door, tragically killing her son. Another backseat rider, a 7-year-old, also sustained injuries. He was transported to a local area hospital by personal vehicle, and then he was moved to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Urgent Care.

The pickup truck driver a, 68-year-old from Clayton, was taken to Northeast Georgia Medical Center with accident-related injuries.
