Tragic, Fatal Motor Vehicle Accident in Arnold, Anne Arundel

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY - A news story published on capitalgazette.com states that a 19-year-old woman from Glen Burnie woman tragically died in an accident in Arnold, Anne Arundel.*

According to law enforcement, the fatal accident occurred at around 2:45 in the afternoon in the 1500 block of northbound Ritchie Highway, near Arnold Road.

The fatal accident investigation found that a Honda Accord was heading north along Ritchie Highway, and as the Honda approached Arnold Road, the driver swerved into another traffic lane to avoid colliding with another vehicle. The driver overcorrected her steering, and this caused her Honda to overturn and crash with several trees in the road's median. She was tragically thrown from her vehicle.

The Anne Arundel County Fire Department took the victim to a local area hospital, where she later was pronounced dead. The fatal accident s currently under investigation by the Traffic Safety Section.
