Tragic Motorcycle Accident on Interstate 90 in Liberty Lake, Washington Kills Motorcyclist and Injures a 13-year-old Passenger

WASHINGTON - A news story published on spokesman.com states that the Washington State Patrol is investigating a severe motorcycle accident that took the life of a motorcyclist and injured his passenger.* The fatal motorcycle accident occurred last Saturday along Interstate 90 in Liberty Lake, Washington. 

According to the accident news report, the motorcyclist tragically died, and his 13-year-old passenger was severely injured following the accident with a sedan. The news report states that the motorcycle accident involved a car and occurred at around 11:30 in the morning on Saturday. 

Washington State Patrol reported in a media release that the motorcyclist, a 43-year-old man, and his passenger, a 13-yea-old boy, were both from Spokane, Washington. The motorcycle was heading eastbound along I-90 behind a 56-year-old woman from Coeur d'Alene. The woman was operating a 2014 Toyota Camry. The accident occurred when the woman slowed in heavy traffic, and the motorcyclist hit the car. The two riders were thrown off of the motorcycle.

The motorcycle accident report states that the motorcycle operator tragically died at the motorcycle accident scene, and the passenger was transported to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center. Both the operator and passenger were wearing motorcycle helmets.

According to the Washington State Patrol, alcohol and drugs were not a factor in the severe motorcycle accident. The Washington State Patrol is currently investigating the accident, troopers said.

I-90 eastbound lanes were cleared at about 3:40 PM, but the motorcycle accident shut down traffic through the area for several hours, according to an email from Washington State Patrol. The Washington State Patrol's email concerning the accident stated that emergency crews arrived at the scene and were investigating the crash.
