Fatal Tractor-Trailer Accident on I-85 in Jackson County, Florida

JACKSON COUNTY, FLORIDA - A news article published on 11alive.com reports that the southbound traffic lanes along Interstate 85 in Jackson County, Florida, were closed down after a fatal multi-vehicle accident.*

According to the Georgia Department of Transportation, the motor vehicle accident occurred at around 11 in the morning.  The crash occurred on SR 82 at Dry Pond Road. 

Georgia State Troopers reported that the road was closed for several hours. Troopers also stated that several motor vehicles that were involved in the accident.  One of the motor vehicles was a tractor-trailer. 

Motorists were asked to use SR-15 from Commerce to Jefferson and then Highway 129 northbound to I-85. The accident is currently under investigation.
