Fatal Accident on U.S. 41 in Collier County, Georgia

GEORGIA - A news report published on naplesnews.com states that a fatal accident involving a tractor-trailer truck shut down a section of U.S. 41 in Collier County, Georgia.* The Collier County Sheriff's Office and the Florida Highway Patrol are investigating the fatal accident. 

A Florida Highway Patrol accident report stated that a sedan was heading eastbound along 41, and the truck was heading west on U.S. 41. The report states that the sedan crossed the median and collided head-on with the truck.  The sedan's driver passed away and has not been positively identified at the time of this article's publication. 

The truck's 45-year-old driver from Miami was not hurt in the accident, which occurred before 3 in the morning. The accident is currently under investigation.
