Three Georgia Teenagers Tragically Killed in a Head-on Collision in Dalton, Georgia
DALTON, GEORGIA - A news article published on cbs46.com reports that law enforcement officers are currently investigating a fatal head-on collision in Dalton, Georgia.* Tragically, three teenagers, we killed in the accident.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, their troopers were called out to investigate a three-vehicle head-on collision with fatalities along GA 3 by Haig Mill Lake Road. The accident was reported at around 9:00 PM.
The Georgia State Patrol investigation reveals that a Ford Fusion was heading southbound along with GA 3 and failed to maintain its traffic lane and moved into the northbound traffic lanes. The white Ford Fusion then collided into a silver Dodge Ram 1500 head-on. The white Ford Fusion rotated and then moved into the outside traffic lane after the collision, hitting a 2011 Ford Taurus.
After the impact, all motor vehicles stopped in the roadway. Two of the teenagers who were riding in the white Ford Fusion tragically died at the scene of the collision. The driver of the Ford Fusion was taken to Erlanger Hospital, by air, in critical medical condition. She tragically passed away at the hospital.
The two other motorists suffered non-life-threatening injuries and thankfully will survive the crash. The Georgia State Patrol's Specialized Collison Reconstruction Team is helping with the accident investigation.
