Motorcyclist Tragically Killed in a Dougherty County Motorcycle Accident

ALBANY, GEORGIA - A news report published on walb.com states that a man was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident that occurred in Albany, Georgia.*

According to the Dougherty County Coroner Michael Fowler, the motorcycle accident happened at approximately 7 AM and at the 1900 block of Moultrie Road.

Dougherty County Coroner states that the motorcyclist was identified as a 24-year-old man.  The victim's name is being withheld out of privacy for the victim's family. 

The victim was struck from the rear by a motor vehicle, and that there could have been some mechanical issues with the victim's motorcycle, according to Fowler.

The motorcycle accident is still currently under investigation by the Dougherty County Police Department. No further details were provided about the accident.
