School Bus Accident on Burford Highway in Brookhaven, Georgia

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, a school bus crashed into another moto vehicle. The school bus was driving Burford Highway when a sedan allegedly pulled out in front of the bus, causing a crash.
Law enforcement authorities stated the motor vehicle then caught on fire following the accident.
There were 40 middle school students riding on the bus at the time of the accident. The driver of the sedan sustained head injuries and was transported to a local area hospital.
Police later confirmed the accident was provoked by a woman who attempted to make a turn across a highway but failed to yield the right of way while entering the lane and crashed with the bus.
Due to the accident and subsequent fire, Buford Highway was shut down. All traffic lanes reopened about an hour and a half later.
