Tragic, Fatal Accident on Georgia 26 in Houston County, Georgia

HOUSTON COUNTY, GEORGIA - A news article published on wgxa.tv reports that the Georgia Department of Transportation reported a fatal motor vehicle accident on Georgia 26 by Elko Road.*  The fatal motor vehicle accident blocked all of the traffic lanes on Georgia 26. 

The Georgia Department of Transportation estimates the motor vehicle accident would be cleared by 5:30 PM, and motorists were encouraged to find alternate routes around the fatal accident.  The fatal collision is currently under investigation.  No further details about the motor vehicle accident were made public at this time.
